Farmers' Market ft. Farmers (Duh!)
A conversation is more about listening than talking — it's a dialog between two or more entities, unfiltered.
We have been thinking about how to turn each interaction with our consumers into a conversation and organizing an authentic, honest Farmers' Market feels like a step in the right direction (If you've been following us for a while, you'd have noticed we use "a step in the right direction" a lot, and a post expanding on the same is very much due :P)
Now, back to the topic.
In a quest to deliver justice for farmers, we have seen many sidelining the farmers who should be at the front and center — not at all a strange phenomenon when demand for organic food is growing stronger every day.
How many times you have heard a Farmers' Market happening nearby and not finding a single farmer on sight? Not to sound pedantic or show irritation towards anything f-a-n-c-y done by Kombucha-sipping-connoisseurs, but we've been observing this from the periphery, and it felt like a right moment to raise the bar.
So we did.
We organized our first Farmers' Market in Mandya yesterday.
Don't fret if you couldn't go, it's a recurring monthly event and we will be organizing it (in association with Mandya Organic Farmers Cooperative Society) on FIRST SUNDAY of every month at 4pm at Cauvery Park, DC Office, Mandya.
We are planning to bring it to Bengaluru as well. Stay tuned!
Take a look at some the pics we managed to click.
